Something tells me you won\'t be able to beat a guy who works at Intel... He\'ll just switch on a couple hundred more machines and leave another million points in front of you.

LOL

what a bummer, my big server bellied up the other day... so I need to rebuild the server... catch up, hurry! ;)

Maybe I\'ll have a chance if I can convince my older brother to lend me their 50 mil$ 222 tflops startup super computer for a day. :P

It will make it on the top 10 of top500.org on launch.

The goal is to reach 1 peta flops in 2 years and exa scale down the road.

Just re-activated my old crunch box. I was donated a new one by a Knight Who Says Ni!

Anyway, my benchmarks (Athlon XP2800) are

29/09/2008 08:12:17||Benchmark results:
29/09/2008 08:12:17|| Number of CPUs: 1
29/09/2008 08:12:17|| 2071 floating point MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU
29/09/2008 08:12:17|| 3372 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU

For my new box (Intel E6300 Core2Duo) they\'re

29/09/2008 08:12:42||Benchmark results:
29/09/2008 08:12:42|| Number of CPUs: 2
29/09/2008 08:12:42|| 1805 floating point MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU
29/09/2008 08:12:42|| 3694 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU

The latter isn\'t crunching Burp (yet). It may do if there are a healthy number of WU to crunch

Upgraded my CPU to an E6600 (2.4GHz)

New benchmark

Benchmark results:
Number of CPUs: 1
2284 floating point MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU
5010 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU

Concentrating on Cancer Research due to the recent deaths of a number of acquaintances.

Restricted number of CPUs to 1.
Also doing SETI CUDA crunching.

This is the computer that I have attached to this project.
It is in my local public library.

Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU
E5200 @ 2.50GHz
2.49GHz, 1.93GB of RAM
Physical Address Extention

For what it's worth, here is my slowest computer. It is now 12 years old.

It is quite happily crunching Milky Way @ Home work units, but will NOT be doing BURP.

Pentium MMX @ 233 MHz
256 MB of RAM

Just bought a new (second hand) server for the house. Dual quad core xeon's.

3/18/2011 12:17:33 PM Benchmark results:
3/18/2011 12:17:33 PM Number of CPUs: 8
3/18/2011 12:17:33 PM 2528 floating point MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU
3/18/2011 12:17:33 PM 7179 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU

It was ok for $800, but it only had 8GB of RAM... found the latest project needed more, so I just bought another 2GB of ram :) Should get it Monday
