How do you get 3 cpu\'s? I\'ve heard of Single, Dual & Quode core cpu\'s. But I have never heard of a pc with 3 cpu\'s. Tanks in advance

Say, xPod... There must be something wrong with the way BOINCstats calculates percentages... If you\'re #1, shouldn\'t you be 100%?

That\'s assuming that the rank percentage is based on the user\'s rank vs. the total number of users, which would make sense. He would also be 100%, if the rank was comparing the user\'s total credit vs. the top user. But, I guess it\'s neither of these.

BOINCStats is keeping track of 3863 users, and it\'s saying that xPOD is ABOVE 3862 of them (tied with self, as Janus said). 3862/3863 = 99.974%

If he\'s above 3862 of them, then he is #3863. 3863/3863 = 1.

Oh he\'s definitely #1. I think BOINCStats\' scoring is done like a percentile rank where it\'s calculated by the number of scores below yours. In other words, it\'s saying he did better than 99.974% of us. He couldn\'t do better than 100%, because then he\'d be doing better than himself. You\'re from the US -- it\'s the same way the SATs are scored.

It\'s kinda arbitrary though -- this way, the lowest person can (and does) have a score of zero. If the calculation was done the other way, using percentage of people EQUAL TO or below you, then xPOD would indeed have 100%, but the bottom guy would have a higher score than zero. *shrug*

Oh, and to keep this on-topic, here\'s a benchmark for my misbehaving machine:

Proc: Intel T2500 @ 2.00 GHz (x86 Family 6 Model 14 Stepping 8, fpu tsc sse sse2 mmx)
RAM: 1014.98 MB physical / 2.39 GB virtual
CPUs: 2
Whet: 1848 fp MIPS / CPU
Dhry: 3806 int MIPS / CPU

ps3grid.net went for Cuda support on a pre release of Boinc 6.3.10 on August 26th. Around the same time I\'ve upgraded my GPU to a GTX 280.

The pre release client does not benchmark GPUs yet. Many boinc projects were contemplating Cuda support but ps3grid was the first.

That gave me a jump of 10k RAC per day, due to the card\'s theoretical benchmark close to 1 TFLOP from its 240 cores.

Now I feel I have a chance competing against Mr. xPod. If I get 3 way SLI :P

Something tells me you won\'t be able to beat a guy who works at Intel... He\'ll just switch on a couple hundred more machines and leave another million points in front of you.
