The server doesn't seem to issue commands that remove old work unit files, so my Burp Boinc folder has grown to over 2GB!
How can I tell which work files are safe to delete manually?
The biggest threat to public safety and security is not terrorism, it is Government abuse of authority.

They should get purged from time to time, but you probably have some from the Sunflower project (my host has like 1.8 GB) which is probably linked to the "Sunflower Placeholder Session".

Well, normally you can delete every file in your BURP folder which starts with "file".
Only problem with this: BOINC traces every downloaded file in the client_state.xml. The client normally tries to redownload every deleted file (at a restart).
That can be annoying when the files are still existing on the server.
Therefore you would need to delete the entries with the exact filenames in the client_state.xml also.
