I do not get work packages. Boinc tells me that only 4 GB of RAM available. Can I still get work packages?

It depends on the sessions being rendered; right now, we're working on the "Sunflower" sessions which require more than 6 GB of RAM, some as much as 8. When there are sessions that require less RAM being rendered, you should get work if any is available--just remember that you're competing with other hungry crunchers for the tasks. They generally go pretty quick around here.

There are a lot of normal Blender-sessions waiting in the queue. Maybe you are lucky and get some WUs from them when they are starting.

My understanding with blender sessions are they are only run on Linux. You may have better luck getting work over at the render farm when it gets up and running.

Linux-only sessions are labeled "SunflowerBlender (Linux)". Sessions that are just labeled "SunflowerBlender" are Windows. The general "Blender" sessions can be either.

Yes, normally it would be correct, but operative word is "can", as there is still no Windows-Blender-app currently.
I should have take a look at Syntax comps first, then my first answer would have been another one.
Since he has only a windows comp it's bad luck for him, he won't get any work atm.
